Previous Name: Willow Rosenberg
Myth: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Past Life Information: Willow learned about the world of vampires and demons when her best friend Jesse became one. He was slain by the Slayer, and soon Willow -- along with her other best friend, Xander -- became close friends and allies with the Chosen One (who was also, you know, a teenage girl at their high school). Buffy became one of Willow's closest friends, and because Willow was brilliant, she became a major asset in the fight against evil -- hacking computer records, doing research. She finally got over her long-held love for Xander, dated a musician/werewolf named Oz, and then found the love of her life in Tara Maclay, who, like Willow, turned out to have a real talent for witchcraft. That interest in witchcraft eventually took over Willow's life and became an addiction of sorts. She re-ensouled the vampire Angel, brought Buffy back from the dead, and lived in magic to avoid dealing with her insecurities. It reached its horrific peak when Tara was murdered; Willow became one of the darkest forces in the world, and almost destroyed the world -- the only thing that stopped her, in the end, was love (in the form of Xander and their old, strong friendship). But it isn't easy to come back from darkness, and Willow had committed murder and touched something unspeakable. She finally learned how to channel magic for the right reasons, and it was her goddess-like ability to turn every potential Slayer into A Slayer that saved the world, finally, and set Buffy free from her solo burden. Willow is the most powerful witch in the world: what happens now?
Current Name: Ivy Bell
Age: 26
Occupation: IT consultant and singer-songwriter
Personality: Ivy is a little on the shy side, but when you get to know her you'll realise the full depths of her lovely, weirdo personality. She's generous, loyal, and defensive of her loved ones, but she's also a little kooky, fun, and sliiiightly cutesy, but never saccharine. She's a little boho, a lot brilliant, and believes in trying to make the world a better place. She's stronger than she looks.
Background: Ivy has been on the gifted-and-talented path since she was old enough to talk. She started college at 16, she started working with high-end software firms when she was 18, and she has the kind of money evil geniuses have from selling a couple of app ideas, but she doesn't really ever talk about that. She owns a modest, but modern, two-bedroom apartment, and she works because she likes the brain challenge, but only a few days each week. The truth is, Ivy is kind of burned out on being the brilliant one all of the time. Lately, she's been pushing herself out of her comfort zone by setting her years of poetry to music and playing it down at the Phoenix Effect -- there's always been something in her soul, something about art or beauty or creativity or magic, that felt like it was missing, and music, she hopes, is the answer.
